MUNICIPAL SOCIAL.

The Conceit Chamber of the Town Hall was transformed into a scene of gaiety Jast evening when the Auckland Municipal Officers' Social Club held a very successful social evening. Blue and white streamers, which were suspended in lims iVoui the ceiling, made a canopy of colour, overhead, and. on the stage, bamboo foliage, palms and pot-plants interspersed with primula's and cyclamen mad i> attractive decoration. Supper was served tVjwnstairs, the room being decorated with gaily coloured bunting, which was draped around the walls. Shaded lights shed a soft glow over all. Some- enjoyable items given included selections pluyed by an orchestra under the baton of Mr. Harold Baxter, a recitation by Miss C. Gilbertson and a cornet solo played by Mr. A. E. Webb.
