LEAGUE REPS. CLASH.

AUCKLAND AND NEW ZEALAND

CARLAW PARK ATTRACTION.

FAST GAME PROMISED.

While the New Zealand League team which returned on Tuesday from their Australian tour did not profit financially from their excursion across the Tasman, it is expected that, from a playing point of view, they will show that they have profited greatly when they meet the Auckland representatives to-morrow. The last match before the tourists disband will be played at Carlaw Park, and should attract one of the biggest crowds of the season. The New Zealand side, which suffered extensively from casualties while abroad, is now fit and well, and a strong side will be fielded to-morrow. An interesting match should be provided, for the Auckland thirteen is well balanced and speedy, and includes many .players who missed selection for the Australian tour by the narrowest of margins. Should the local backs succeed in winning possessioin in the scrums they should lead the opposition a merry dance, as they have thrustful inside backs and a determined set of three-quarters. The New Zealand team will be selected from fifteen players. The team (with a back and a forward to be omitted) will be as follows: — New Zealand. Full-back: C. Dufty (Auckland). Three-quarters: P. S.
