PETER PAN CABARET.

OPENING NIGHT ON THURSDAY.

. Centrally eituated, beautifully furnished, and served by one of the finest orchestras in the southern hemisphere, the Peter Pan Cabaret, Auckland's latest house of entertainment, will open its doors to the public on Thursday evening, when a grand ball, will be held. The cabaret, which occupies the whole of one floor- in Campbell's Buildings, llutland Street, is practically in the heart of the city, and possesses every attribute making for comfort, enjoyment and convenience. The dancing floor is raised above the main floor and is made of special timber laid on rubber to give it an even spring. The floor is 3714 isquarc feet in area.

The orchestra plays on a raised dais in the middle of the floor, thus ensuring a uniform volume of sound in all parts of the hall. The illumination is contrived by means of concealed lights, hidden in recesses in the ceiling, giving delightfully soft contours to the interior. The lighting system is in three colours, ranging from primrose to amber. It is the outcome of many years' experience of electrician artists, and is specially designed to harmonise with the scheme of flame, orange and gold, for the upholstery. The most modern ventilating and' warming systems have been installed, and the air can be renewed in a few minutes. The main entrance to the cabaret will be from Lome Street, leading into the large reception hall, where 1 the figure of Peter Pan bids welcome to the gay crowd of revellers. The title is happily chosen, Sir James Barrie's joyous embodiment of eternal youth being singularly appropriate for a place where youth and happiness hold sway. Special parking arrangements have been made for motoring visitors, and in three of the adjoining streets, car§ can be left.

Late supper parties will be specially catered for, and a comprehensive bill of fare will be provided by the cabaret kitchen, the grillroom being on the same floor as the main hall. "Refined in conception, exclusive in appeal, convenient in location." Such is the slogan of the "Peter Pan" Cabaret, by which it bids fair to secure a patronage worthy of the enterprise which brought it into being. Entertainments (N.Z.), Limited, are'the proprietors, and Mr. Norman Loveridge will be the manager.
