DEATH IN HOSPITAL
SMASH IN CHRISTCHURCH,
PILLION RIDER INJURED.

The death occurred in the hospital this - morning of Percival Charles Mooar, aged IS, of Adding'ton, who was injured yesterday when the motor cycle he was riding collided with a motor car on the Main South Road. His companion on the pillion seat, Thomas Samuels, aged ]9, received head injuries, but his condition is not causing anxiety.

COLLISION AT PAPATOETOE
As the result of a collision between two motor cars on Saturday, Mr. George H. Robinson, of Shirley Road, Papatoctoe, received injuries to his shoulder and ribs, necessitating medical.attention. He was backing his car out of a private residence- on the Great South Road, Papatoetoe, when it collided with a car, owned and,driven by Mr. J. 11. Hearn, of 39, France , ' Street, Newton. Mr. Robinson was taken to his home, and is in a satisfactory condition. Hie car was extensively daihagcd. The occupants of the other car escaped injury.
FOOTBALLERS INJURED
ONE SUFFERS CONCUSSION,
Two footballers were injured, while playing at Point Chevalier on Saturday. George Cox, aged 23, residing at 19, Grange Road, Mount Eden, and a- member of the College Riflee Club, suffered concussion, and was taken by the St. John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital. His condition is satisfactory. N. Harris, of .Church Street, Otahuhu, received a, deep cut in the knee while playing . for the Papatoetoe team. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital, where several stitches were inserted in the wound.
