DEATH IN MINE.
ENGINEER'S SUDDEN COLLAPSE
LIVERPOOL MINE IDLE TO-DAY.

GREYMOUTH, this day.
Mr. J. J. Moore, aged GO, acting colliery engineer at the Liverpool State mine, died suddenly this morning at the bottom of the hoist at the Liyeipool colliery, when the men had assembled to be conveyed to work. In consequence of the fatality the men returned home and the mine is idle to-dav. Mr. Moore had been ill previously. He leaves four sons, one being the Rev. Father Moore, of St. Patrick 8 College,
