COLLIDED WITH TRAM.

MOTOR CYCLIST IN HOSPITAL.

A young- mail named Cook, residing at 9, Henley Street, Parnell, received abrasions and cuts to the face when the motor cycle lie was riding collided with a tramcar at the coruer of Ayr Street and Manukau Road, Parnell, shortly before nine o'clock this morning. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance. His condition is not serious. STRUCK BY TAXI. CHILD'S HEAD INJURIES. Head injuries were' received by a little girl, Jewel, Eolton, aged six, of 7, Glasgow Terrace, oft' Park Road, when she was struck by a taxicab driven by Mr. C. H. R. Bristow, at 5.45 p.m. yesterday, while she was playing with another child in the street near her home. She was taken by the driver of the car to the Auckland Hospital and her condition is reported as not serious.

PATIENTS IN HOSPITAL. Ail improvement is reported in the condition of both Mr. and Mrs. George Knight, of Mount Albert, who received head injuries when they were knocked down by a motor van in New North Road, Mount Albert, on Tuesday evening.

The condition of Mrs. Lucy Luckens, of Swanson, who suffered severe injuries to the spine when she was thrown from her horse on Wednesday afternoon, is reported by the hospital authorities to be still serious.

At an inquest concerning the death of Margaret McNay, a single woman, aged '40, who died in Wallacc Hospital at ■ Eiverton on Tuesday as the result of an injury received when she fell from a car 011 July 9, the jury returned a verdict that deceased died from injuries received to her spine as a result of having fallen • accidentally from a motor car, and that there was no blame attachable to anyone.

Following an accident through a fall of stone in Wilsons mine early this morning, Mr. John MeKernan, aged about 50, a miner, of Hikurangi, was admitted -to the Whangarei District Hospital with extensive wounds to the right side of his head, and also injuries to his chest and ankle. An operation was performed, and his condition is reported to be favourable.
