FLUCTUATIONS UN SHARES.

MARKET TONE FAIR

NOT MANY SALES,

On the local Stock Exchange the market tone seems rather better than it was a few days ago, but not a great deal of business is being finalised. There is a strong demand for Waihi Junctions at 2/. Additional _ sales have been made, and more couici oe placed at the same figure. . , In the banking section values showed little change at this mornings call, but Australians of Commerce were a little firmer, with buyers at £1 2/. Balgety's shares wore on oner at 7/6. and Waipa Collieries at 11/6. New Zealand Breweries are very firm at the moment, with buyers at £2 10/6. A parcel of jSicw Zealand Kefiigeiating shares was offered at 11/, and of Hayward's Pictures at 12/9- . For Colonial Sugars buyers are ottering £37 15/. The Noon Call. There were few changes at the noon call, and onlv one fresh sale. This was of New Zealand Insurance, which at £2 2/ eased 6d on yesterday's sale. After the transaction bidders retired to £2 1/6. Westport Coals were easier, with sellers at £1 12/6, and bidders for New Zealand Breweries stopped at £2 10/3A buyer came forward for Kiver Plates, offering £17/. , . The only offering in Government stocks was a parcel of 5 A (1933) at £98 15/.
