HAMILTON, this day.
The official attendance for the British v. Waikato Combined match at Hamilton on Saturday last was 11,000, excluding complimentaries, and the gate takings were £1500.

CARS' FREE PASSAGE
NEW TRAFFIC REGULATION.
Cars intending to make a" left-hand turn will have a free passage at intersections, irrespective of the traffic officer's signals, according to a regulation adopted by the City Council last evening. The regulation provides that where an intersection is controlled by a traffic officer and marked by longitudinal white lines two parallel lines of traffic are to be allowed. The' line nearest the kerb will consist of vehicles about to make a left-hand turn and these will have a free passage.
