REP. RUGBY.

AUCKLAND V. TARANAKI,

AT EDEN PARK TO-MORROW*

Considerable interest is being takenjn the interprovhicial match at Eden Park to-morrow afternoon between AifSkland and Taranaki. To date the Auckland rep. team hag shown some inconsistency.' The first selection caused disappointment in its showing against Waikato, at Hamilton in June, but when some changes had been made in the side, Auckland supporters had hopes raised by the manner in which the team defeated Thames, and the same;.side set tlie'seal; on Auckland's football fame for the season by inflicting on the British visiting team the heaviest defeat of : the tour.

Since then, five of the team in Lucas, Corner, McWilliams, Batty and L. Knight have been drawn upon for the Test match in Wellington, and Minns lias left for England. This must necessarily affect the balance of the forwards, and the play of the backs, and there is a deal of curiosity as to how the rearrangement of tile team effected by Mr. G. Nicholson, the selector, will work. Having in mind that Auckland in June defeated Waikato by only 7 to 0, and that Taranaki's win over the same side was 17 to 11, the game seems one which is full, of interesting possibilities. The match will bring before the Auckland public to-morrow as first-class reps, for the first time this season Berridge (City), Jones (Manukau), Conway (Marist), Gallaher (Ponsonby), Anderson (University) and Satliejley (Manukau). Following are the teams: —
