EAGER VOLUNTEERS.
MEETING OF 23RD BATTERY,
All enthusiastic meeting of members of the 23rd Battery, Onehunga, was held last evening, about 45 men out of a total of 70 being present. Thirty-eight signified their readiness to serve as volunteers, and tho names of 10 absentees who were also willing to remain in the battery were received. The whole of the staff of officers, with the exception of 011 c, will retain their present positions.
