CLUB IN NORTHERN WAIROA,
BIG FIELD DAY ADVOCATED,

DARGAVILLE, Wednesday
At the annual meeting of the Northern Wairoa Jersey Club, the election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr. W. P. Begg; executive, Messrs. R. E. Clements, J. H. Moffat, D. Junor, T. E. Churches and H. P. Walton; secretary, Mr. C. Clements; auditor, Mr. B. S. Angus. Speaking in regard to the annual show, Mr. R. A. Lewis said they had: joined with the Dargaville Show Asso; ciation as a breeder. He did not like* to sec an exhibition of Jerseys turned down even for one year. Show competition had been a good thing for breeders. He was not in favour of allowing their show to lapse, and he would , like the club to hold a big field day and have a great exhibition of Jersey dairy stock.
Mr. W. P. Begg said he also did not like the idea of dropping the show, and he would like to see one strong show for the whole of the district 011 a central site.
Mr. R. E. Clements said that if backed up by the A. and P. Association a united effort should demonstrate the good that the show was to the district.
