Large Increase in Post Office
Taxation.

The Federal Government estimates that its expenditure, which will total £65,610,000, or an increase of £1,094,COO over last year, will include £14,707,000 on a business undertaking, namely, the Railways Post Oflice, an increase of over £500,000. Of this expenditure, £869,000 will be contributed from the general revenue. The' Post Office revenue is expected to be £15,577,000, which is an increase of -over £1,500,000,
Three hundred and twelve thousand pounds will be voted for the Federal capital territory, from which the revenue is expected to reach £228,000.
