BIG ROAD RACE,

WAIMATE TO CHRISTCHURCH,

The longest and most important road race ever lield in the Dominion will take place on Saturday, October 4, when the North Canterbury Centre .of the New Zealand Athletic, Cycling, and Axemen's Union will stage the Waimate to Christchurch road race, a distance of 140 miles. This race takes the place! of. the famous Timaru to Christchurch road race, which event has been held on twenty-two occasions since 1899.
