THE BRITISH TEAM.
PRACTICE AT ROTORUA.
DELIGHTED WITH THE SIGHTS.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
ROTORUA, this day.
The British footballers had a good practice yesterday on the grounds of the Rotorua High School. The boys were delighted and cheered the visitors vociferously at the conclusion, when the Britishers were photographed together with the school fifteen.
Mr. James Baxter, in returning thanks for the use of the grounds, remarked that the boys of that school were the only ones who wore their caps correctly. The whole team left for Auckland this morning. They were given a rousing send-off by a large crowd. Last night they were guests of the Rotorua Athletic Club at a danc« in the Majestic Cabaret. The presidents of the Otago and the Bay of Plenty Rugby Unions were present. The members of t'he team to play on Saturday were not in attendance. The whole party was delighted with its stay and entertainment in Rotorua, so much so that nine are returning.
