TEAM FOR TEST.

ALL BLACKS CHOSEN.

SUBJECT TO CONFIRMATION.

STEWART AND OLIVER O"DT.

COOK CENTRE THREE-QUARTER.

It is understood that, subject to confirmation by Mr. Norman McKenzie, the only selector who is not in Auckland, and who is expected about 5 o'clock to-night, the New Zealand team for the third Test at Eden Park -on Saturday "will be: —■ Full-back: G. Nepia (Poverty Bay). Three-quarters: F. W. Lucas (Auckland), A. E. Cooke (Wellington), G. F. Hart (Canterbury). Five-eighths: W. A. Strang (South Canterbury), M. F. Nicliolls (Wellington). Half-back: M. Corner (Auckland). Wing forward: C. G. Porter, captain (Wellington). Hookers: A. I. Cottrell (Canterbury), J. Horo (Otago). Lock: E. R. G. Steere (Hawke's Bay). Sides: H. F. McLean (Wellington), R. G. McWilliams (Auckland). ' Back row: W. E. Hazlett (Southland), W. Batty (Auckland). Final Practice. Serious training by the All Blacks for the third Test ended with a run at Eden Park this morning. Except for an odd game of golf, and, of course, rubbing down by their trainers, Messrs. Jim Taylor, and Johnston, no further training operations will be carried out. There will be a team talk to-morrow I night on the tactics to be adopted i against the British. • ,

Both No. 1 and No. 2 grounds at Eden Park were fairly wet after _ the overnight rain, so that this morning's workout was held on No. 3. The run was only a short one, but in spite of that fact some of the players said they could feel their muscles tightening up slightly on the heavy ground. Consequently the backs ran round more for a "breather" than anything else.

Porter, the captain, had his forwards practising lineout work, putting the ball at their feet, and dribbling through. Then lie made the forwards pack round the man" who caught the ball from the lineout and heel the ball to Corner, who sent his backs away in a gallop down the field. High punting and fast following up by the forwards was also tried with success.

Nepia, who turned out in the flaming red jersey of Poverty Bay, practised place-kicking most of the morning. The crowd called him "The Red Terror." Strang also had a few shots at goal. Messrs. A. J. Geddes (Southland), W. Maxwell (Canterbury) and A. McDonald (Otago), the South Island representatives On the New- Zealand selection committee, arrived in Auckland by the Limited this morning. Together with Mr. E. McKenzie (Wairarapa), chairman, and Mr. Geo. Nicholson (Auckland), they had a conference after training this morning. Mr. Norman McKenzie (Hawke's Bay) is expected here this evening. Several members of the team played golf this afternoon, and some intended to play a few holes to-morrow morning just to loosen up their muscles completely. After that they will take things quietly until the match. This evening the team will be the guests of one of the picture theatres.

All members of the team are confident.
