DEATH OF ARCHIBALD.
DROPS DEAD ON TRACK,
(By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") . HAWERA, this day. Archibald, who won- the 'Brighton Hurdle Race, and ran second to Wedding March in the Great Northern Hurdle Race a season or two ago, dropped dead after schooling at Hawera yesterday. Archibald was trained for some seasons by J. Williamson, at Ellerslie, but he was off the scene for a good .while, only returning to the race track at the last Great Northern meeting. He later accompanied J. Fryer's team back to Hawera, and has been in his stable since then.
