NON-COMMITTAL STATEMENT.
EXECUTIVE COUNCIL TO MEET

Cabinet dealt with the Munn petition to-day, but no official announcement was made as to the'result.
Interviewed by your correspondent the Prime Minister, the Hon. G. W. Forbes, said that the papers in the case had been forwarded to the GovernorGeneral, who, in due course, would summon a meeting of the Executive Council for final adjudication.
Asked as to whether the meeting would be' called this week, Mr. ■ Forbes was non committal but hinted that it would possibly be held before Monday next.
