LONG ARM OF THE SOVIET
BERLIN, July 21. The kidnapping of a Russian—recalling the case of General Koutepoff at Paris —has occurred at Hamburg. An influential Russian business man named Schainhold was ordered by the Soviet to go to Moscow to give information. He disofieyed the order, was tried in his absence from Moscow and sentenced to death. '• M. Schainhold's 18-year-old son has now disappeared. It is believed that' the youth was enticed to Kiel by a Soviet emissary and there taken on board a ship, which sailed for Russia. Diplomatic action is being taken in the matter.
