CORNISHMEN'S WELCOME.
At the social given ,by the Auckland Cornish Association in his honour Mr. Roy Jennings, the Cornish member of tho British Rugby team, was* elected a life member of the association. In his reply Mr, Jennings said he would carry back many happy memories of ■" New Zealand, but none happier than that of this meeting of Cornish folk. Mr. J. Rowe, an old All Black, was introduced to Mr. Jennings. Musical items were given during the evening by the Misses M. and" K, Kendall, Messrs. Fort, R„ Errington, and J. Itowe, and a sketch by the Misses Tremaine. The Hon. J. Trevethick, M.L.C., wrote apologising for his unavoidable absence. r '•
