MOTORING FATALITY.
PASSENGER'S DEATH.
DRIVER DAZZLED BY LIGHTS
NO EVIDENCE OF NEGLIGENCE.

MASTERTON, Monday,
The adjourned inquest concerning the death of Patrick Duane, who was killed on the Carterton-Masterton Road at Clareville on July 5, was held to-day before the district coroner, Mr. E. G. Eton. Deceased was a passenger in a motor car.
The evideoce showed that the railings of a culvert were struck by the car. The driver said he was dazzled by the lights of an approaching car. The verdict was that deceased died a's the result of injuries received through being struck by the railings. The coroner said there was no eye-witness of the accident. There was no direct evidence of negligence on 'the driver's part.
