BODY FOUND IN HARBOUR AT OPUA.
PAINTER FROM AUSTRALIA,
(From-Our Own-Correspondent.) ' OPUA, Monday. At the resumed inquest before Mr. J. R. Morris,. J.P., acting,-coroner, and a jury consisting of Messrs. W.J. Valentine, E. McAlister, L. T. Donaldson and J. Gillett, on the body of a man found in the harbour on Sunday, July 6, evidence was given by P. C. Mitchell, of Russell, that police inquiries indicated that deceased-was identical'with a man named John Brownlee, "a painter, born in England, married, aged 40 years, who arrived in New Zealand from Australia by the s.s. Maunganui. The jury returned a verdict that-deceased ■ met his death by drowning.
