UNEMPLOYED RELIEF.
MANUKAU COUNTY WORKS,
"Further operations have been undertaken by the Public Works Dpartment on-unemployed relief works in the district," stated Mr. L. E. Utting, assistant engineer to the Manukau County Council, in°his report at the council meeting this morning. Work was now under way on Walsh's Road, ; Kawakawa-Orere Road (Cashmore's Hill), and the ClevedonMaraetai Road. "Survey work is being rSried on by the Public Works staff at it is possible that they will P' able to carry on with the OrereMatingarahi Road; .without calling on S staff, as already arranged"
