OBITUARY.
MR. J. W. FOSTER.
The death has occurred.of an old resident of Auckland, Mr. John William Foster, of King George Avenue. He was born in High years ago, and was an early resident of Thames, where he joined the Post and Telegraph Department. Afterwards he was in the building trade, both in Auckland and at Fiji. Mre. Foster survives her husband, -and there are the following children: Mks F. M. Foster, Miss M. K. Foster, and Mr. J. A. Foster. ' MR. A. C. SELBY. The death occurred after a few days' illness at the Auckland Hospital of Mr. Arthur Camport Selby, at the age of 34 years. He was the second son of Mr. Arthur Selby, of Howick, the wellknown clerk of the course at Ellerslie, •and formerly master of the Pakuranga Hunt. The late Mr. A. C. Selby was born in Kent, and at the time of his death was farming at Putaruru. Like his father, lie was a well-known huntsman, and at various times was associated with the Waikato, Brackenfield (Christchurch), Timaru and Gisborne Hunt, Clubs. He is survived by Mrs. Selby, two sisters and five brothers.
