KITCHEN EVENING.
• The Zealandia Hail,. Dominion Road, £ was gaj on Thursday evening. A num- J ber of "friends of Miss Rose Shepherd d o-athered to wish her success in her new 1 sphere and to contribute towards lier t kitchen requirements. Mrs. Young and i Mrs. Penny were hostesses and Mrs. Bur- [ nand assisted- The hall was prettily c decorated witli streamers and colouied j lanterns. The evening _was spent in c dancin o- and games. Musical items were Sven by Mr. Harold Halstead Master J. J Ilollov, Mrs. Fowler, Mrs. Penny Mr. Kendall, Mrs. Newdick, Mr. Rowe and Mr. f Cooper. There were 130 guests present i amongst whom were:.
