ARRIVAL FROM SYDNEY.
ARRESTED IN AUCKLAND.
CHARGE AGAINST LABOURER
Deported from Australia, George Alexander, Low, a labourer (27) was arrested by Detective McHugh at T. 15 o'clock this morning, when he arrived in Auckland from Australia by the Maunganui.
Three hours later at the Police Court, Low was charged before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., with falling to comply with the terms of his release on probation.
Chief Detective Hammond said accused had been deported by the Australian authorities after serving sentences there. He was a prohibited person in the Commonwealth, as he had" gone there within two years of receiving convictions in Sevr Zealand. Low was wanted in the Dominion for a breach of his probation order at Wellington on February! last. Accused was remanded until June 23.
