William Alfred Taylor, a labourer, aged 49, appeared at the Police Court this morning for sentence on a charge of: fraudulently failing to account to .Jane C. Williamson for £5. ' ' Chief Detective Hammond said Taylor had converted the money to his own use. He had been-a week- in gaol on remand. Mr, Hunt said he would give Taylor another chance by admitting him to probation for 12 months .and • ordering him to make restitution.
