ROTORUA NOTES.
The annual dance of the Rotorua Tennis Club was held in the Majestic ballroom, Rotorua, on Friday evening, when the dance music was provided by Epi Shalfoon's Melody Boys' Orchestra. The hall decorations. were festoons of black and white streamers, while golden chrysanthemums and ribbons of blue and gold, the club colours, were used as decorations for the supper room tables. The committee consisted of Mrs. R. G. Bennett, Mrs. W. A. McLean, Mrs. C. Hitchcock, Mrs. P. A. Sherriff, Mrs. A. Kusab, Mrs. D. George, Misses K.. Hall, O. Dawson, C. Moore, and M. Cooney. Several novelty dances were held. The winners of the Monte Carlo waltz were Miss R. Manson and Mr. N. Banks. During the evening the trophies for the club's annual competitions were presented by Mrs. R. G. Bennett, wife of the president, to the following:—Ladies' championship singles, Miss M. Payton; handicap singles, Miss L. Dannefaerd; men's championship singles, Mr. Norman Smith; handicap singles, Mr. A. Dannefaerd; mixed handicap doubles, Miss L. Dannefaerd and Mr. A. Dannefaerd; men's handicap doubles, Mr. W. Foggin and Mi". G. McDowell; most improved lady player, Miss I. Smith; most improved man, Mr. T. Shalfoon. Among those present were:—Mrs. R. G.
