AID OUT OF GENERAL RATE.

WANGANUI, Monday.
The Wauganui City Council discussed tmemployment to-night, and decided to allocate £1660, amounting to one penny in the pound of the general rate, to the relief of unemployment. The money will carry a Government subsidy. a
