ANOTHER WIN.

GRIMMETT AND CO.

Bradman Piles up Another

Large Score.

McCABE GETS RUNS

(United P.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright*

(Received 11 a.m.)

LONDON, June 2.

In the Hampshire match the Australian circketers, after an extension of time, repeated their Oxford performance, gaining an innings win in two days.

With the exception of Bradman and McCabe, however, the visitors shaped badly. Kippax was easily caught at mid-on, and Woodfull had two chances before, he was beaten. The captain is suffering from a severe cold, and should not be playing. Bradman meanwhile, hitting vigorously and scoring freely in all directions, raced towards his century by punishing Boyes, from whom lie scored J ten in one over. Bradman reached his fourth hundred of the tour after 135 minutes. Then he requisitioned a new bat and continued to display fierce hitting.

McCabe was also forcible and timed well. Two hundred runs took only 145 minutes. The new ball failed to quieten the batsmen, McCabe hitting hard to all parts of the field. He and Bradman put on a hundred in the short space of 45 minutes.. Frequent changes of bowling had no effect. Herman came ba£k, but tho pair knocked 15 oft' his first over. McCabe's innings ended when the partnership had added 141. He had hit twelve boundaries. The total.was then 282.

Fairfax was caught at fine leg, then four wickets fell for the addition of two runs. Bradman continued to hit fearlessly, and was last man out. He hit one six and 26 fours, and gave a magnificent chanceless display. Boyes bowled splendidly throughout.

Hampshire's second innings was a repetition of the first. Brown and Hosie scored 50 for the first wicket, then three wickets fell for seven. Hornibrook and Grimmett baffled the batsmen, and at the time frfr play to cease nine men wero out. The captains agreed to an extension of time, and. Australia won bv an innings and eight runs. Grimmett's seven victims bring his total for the tour to 60 wickets.
