WIN FOR MANIAPOTO.
Under favourable weather conditions the first representative match of the season was played at Otorohanga on Saturday. The game, which was between Otorohanga and Maniapoto, resulted in a win for the latter by 9 points to 7. Love scored a try and Dockery drop-kicked a fine goal, both for Otorohanga, shortly before the finish of the game. Ormsby, Paul and Nikora scorcd for Maniapoto. R. Falconer and. A. Dockery have been selected to play for the Northern team in the North v. South match at Tauiuarunui to-day.
