AUCKLAND CLUB.
A good exhibition of baseball was given by J:he Auckland Club at the New Zealand Breweries grounds Kliyber Pass, last Saturday. The teams were picked and captained by Messrs. C. McLeod and C. H. Bensell. Nine games were played, and the scores resulted evenly. E'ach scored a home run.
The club, which is making big efforts to establish baseball in Auckland, has had considerable difficulty in securing a permanent ground on which to hold their matches. It will know definitely on Wednesday whether the brewery ground can be secured. A meeting of the club members will be held in the Latter Day Saints' Ilall, Upper Queen Street, to-day week.
