TRAMWAY STOP.
POINT CHEVALIER ROUTE. Certain ratepayers and residents of Point Chevalier have written to the Auckland Transport that a petition is being circulated asking the board to remove the present section stop at Walker's Road to the Point Chevalier Hall corner. , . The writers of the letter said that it the request were granted hardship would be created "on half the population of Beach Road and side roads by raising the fare from 5d to 6d," that such alteration would mean the payment of an extra penny by all passengers between the hall corner and the Stone Jug, who wished to go to the school, the playing ground at Walker's Road, or any destination in the vicinity. A request was made that the present system should be given a full trial. The board decided to comply with the request for tne present.
