Mr. A. W. Acheson, judge of the Native Land Court, left for the south by the Limited express last evening. Sir Charles Statham, Speaker of the House of Representatives, is spendingta holiday at Waiwera House, Rotorua. Mr. T. C. Brash (Wellington), and Mr. W. A. P. Grey (Otorohanga), are staying at tne Star Hotel. Mr. G. A. Lee, of Auckland, has betm appointed by the Mackay Harbour Board, Queensland, to furnish a report on harbour improvements. Royal Hotel guests incude:—-Mr. F. Roberton (Wellington), Mr. P. Andermatt (Wairoa), Mr. H. Armitage (Napier), and Mr. J. Paterson (Oamaru.) Recent arrivals at the Central I?otel include:—Mr. J. D. Harvie (Hamilton), Mr. J. A. Barclay Mr. R. J.' Purdy, Mr.. H. G. G<*sd, Mr. A. L. Hempton, Mr. A. Andrews and Mr. J. W. Hay (Wellington.) . Among those staying at Hotel Cargen are the following:—Mr. P. Chaplin, Mr. and Mrs. F. Wheston (London), Mr. R. R. Barret (Paris), Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Armstrong (Te Awamutu), Mr. V. R. Collins, Mr. R. S. Jollands and Mr. Gilham (Wellington.) Bishop D'Arcy-Irvine, of Sydney, will shortly take up the duties of Archbishop' Wright, who has left for England to attend the Lambeth Conference. On the return of the Archbishop, Bishop D'Arcy-Irvine intends to pay a visit to. his sister, Mrs. E. R. Vickerman, of Remuera.
