SCHOOL COMMITTEES IN WELLINGTON". PROTESTS CONTINUE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. The second opportunity to elect school committees extended by the Wellington Education Board met with a poor response at the Te Aro, Terrace, Brooklyn and Lower Hutt Schools, all four reaffirming their decision against submitting candidates. The attitude is that the school committees feel they can do nothing until capitation is increased. Lower Hutt had one nomination and the only reply at the meeting, when further nominations were invited, was the remark of a householder that eight further "victims" were required.
