Zeppelin in Rainstorm in Southern Flight. VOYAGE BEYOITD RIO. NEW YORK, May 25. A message from Pernambuco says the Graf Zeppelin departed for Bio tie Janeiro, a distance of 1200 miles, at 11.52 p.m., Brazil time, on Friday. The flight was expected to take about 20 hours. u The Graf Zeppelin was badly shaken by heavy rain squalls in the night, and was considerably slowed up in her pes- . sage along the coast. She passed over Bahia at 7.15 a.m. and Mucury at. 5.10 p.m., hiving then accomplished threefourths of the journey. According to expectations the'vessel shou'ld have completed her trip by then. An announcement from the ship said she would continue her voyage to Paranagua, the chief port of the State of Parana, and would return to Rio le Janeiro later. Paranagua is 180 miles south of Sao Paulo. It has a good harbour, ami an airport has been constructed. A railway lino runs inland and thence to Sao ► Paulo. RETURN JOURNEY. FLIGHT BACK TO BRAZIL. (Ilcceived 1.30 p.m.) PERNAMBUCO, May 25. Tho Graf Zeppelin is expected to arrive early on Monday morning after leaving Rio de Janeiro at 6.52 a.m., New York standard time. She has since been reported regularly along her northward course. Considerable, criticism was heard in Rio de Janeiro, concerning Dr. Eckener's apparent change in plans, causing thousands of anxious watchers to miss seeing the dirigible. She arrived over the city's outskirts in the early morning, but instead of landing, she proceeded southward to Santos. Crowds left' - points of vantage and returned home disappointed, whereupon the Graf Zeppelin returned and landed at. the Compo Affonsos aerodrome for a brief stop. She landed without trouble, despite the unfamiliarity of the ground crew with so large an airship.
