CIVIC CONCERTS.
1 Last night, in the Town Hal], before a numerous audience, the Municipal Band played a popular programme of music. Several pieces from Gilbert and Sullivan's operas were attractively performed, and the Waldteufel "Ange d'Amour." Ketelbey's "Chinese Music," and Boieldieu's overture to "The Caliph of Bagday," and Drigo's. "Serenade" were other suitably rendered selections. Yesterday afternoon Mr. Maughan Barnett gave the usual organ recital, and was heard in Mendelssohn's Second Sonata, Wolstenholme's Overture, Bach's "Allegro and Gavotte," and Sibelius' "Andantino."
