FIVE GOALS.
A big win was enjoyed by St. Luke's in the game with Wesley. The reds had the best of matters all through, and their-op-poneuts failed throughout to reproduce any of the promising play given in the first match of the season. St. Luke's kept the play very open, and with dashing forwards, supported' by solid backs, kept play for the most part- in Wesley's quarters. The few visits the greens had to the opposing circle were short-lived, as the forwards lacked combination and had very little support from the half line. St. Luke's front line did not display the combination it should have, and too many attacks were the outcome of individual efforts. Wesley's best advances were made from the right. Hanna, goalkeeper for the winners, had little to do and kept the net intact. Williams and Clark; full-backs, were safe, but both require to place the.ball better when clearing. Robertson grafted hard as centre-half, and upset the opposition's calculations, and had in T. Clark a line support. Torbet played a great game forward and had a good goal tally. He showed good promise, but requires to maintain a better position. Burnett and J. Giles were solid, but Grace and T. Giles, the respective wingers, indulged in a lot of offside that somewhat marred their efforts.
