DIVISIONS IN JERVOIS HANDICAP. ' \.' EIGHT RACES ON FIRST DAY. Owing to the number of acceptors in the Jervois Handicap, tp be decided on the. opening day of the' Great Northern meeting, exceeding the number at the starting post, the. field has had to be divided. The stake has. been increased, giving 300sovs for each division, and as tnere are only, seven x'aces on the original, programme, and the dividing of the Jervois Handicap only makes eight, -the divisions will he treated as separate races, and dividends will be paid on the first and second horse in each division.- The events will form the first and third races respectively on the programme.
