MOUNT ROSKILL EFFORT.
DENTAL CLINIC SUPPORT.-
A series of "five hundred" card evenings which has been organised by the Mount Roskill School Committee for the purpose of raising funds to equip and maintain the local dental clinic was opened by the Hon. A. J. Stallworthy on Friday. The first of the series was held at the school on Saturday, and proved a great success. The prizes for the best figures were won by Mrs: R. Kent and Mr. Frank Ward. Prizes will be given at the end of the series to tM lady and gentleman securing the best aggregate. Three more evenings are to be held. Dances are being held in conjunction with the card evenings, and. these arc conducted in the Mount Roskill public Hall. Last Saturday's attendance taxed the hall to its utmost. Evenings of this kind have proved (successful in the past, and since the cause is deserving, the committee have every reason to be optimistic.
