EIGHT CHARGES.
MAORI AT TOKOMAEU BAY. CAR AND CYCLE CONVERTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE; this day. In the Police Court at Tokomaru Bay, before justices, this week, Pekama Poikaka Whakataka, aged 22, was committed to the Supreme Court, Gisbornc, for sentence on eight charges of breaking, entering and theft. On a charge of the conversion of a motor car belonging to-Richardson and Co. he was sentenced to three months' hard labour. On a charge of the conversion of a motor cycle and on four charges of theft he was convicted and discharged.
