And presently the perfumed night wind And shlkefthe grasses and the slumbrous And far-away, a lone bird sounds a sad Hushed note; and then a deeper silence ftfcllS. Lord, when the last hush comes for us, On wearild ,W feet, turn t6 the Judgment Seat, Grant- that we go by ways as sweet as Twilit^and 2 grey, and shadowed with the 'dusk; ~, Down still; green ways, with peace unutterable, .... „ To light the silent path that calls us home. . . Grant that there be no tempests when our day , ~ , ... Draws to its close* That though the Grow dark .find darker still, no fear shall be, But only faith, to bid Qs follow on.
