FIRST MAYOR.
ONE TREE HILL BOROUGH. MB. HAEDWICKE UNOPPOSED. SEVEN CANDIDATES FOR COUNCIL. When nominations for the Mayoralty of the newly-constituted borough of One Tree Hill closed at noon to-day, Mr. J. S. Hardwicke, who was chairman of the Road Board, was the only candidate, and he was declared elected as the first Mayor. Seven nominations were received for tho six seats on the council: Messrs. J. Adams, K. W. Aimer, R. .G. Clark, I. J. Goldstine, W. I. Hancock, W. G. Mulliolland and C. L. Slylield. Should one of the candidates withdraw before Tuesday, May 6, an election will not be necessary, but, failing a withdrawal, an election will be conducted on Wednesday, May 14.
