HOWICK DISPUTE.
TWO BOAKD MEMBERS EESIGN. Discord has arisen in -the Howick Town Board following a decision to allow Mr. V. L. Bagnall to hold both the position of town clerk and that of clerk of work 3 in connection with the recentlyarranged contracts in the district. Two members of the board, Mr. W. Cooper and Mr. H. H. Bushell, resigned their seats last night. On April 17 the board, by four votes to three, refused to allow Mr. Bagnall to hold the two positions, but a week later the decision was reversed. Messrs. Cooper, Buahell and D. Strong opposed the reversal of the first decision.
