ZENANA BIBLE MISSION.
NEW ZEALAND AUXILIARY. The ninth annual meeting of the New Zealand auxiliary of" the Zenana. Bible and Medical Mission was held on Tuesday evening at the residen6e of Mrs. W. W. Dove, Victoria Avenue. Mr. R. L. Stewart presided. Mr. Stewart spoke in eulogistic terms of Miss D. J. Dannefaerd's work as honorary secretary and of the splendid help -iven by the ladies' auxiliary, and referred to Miss Leetch's visit two years ago as a wonderful inspiration. He regretted it was impossible to have the stimulus given br missionaries coming each jear. "it was unanimously agreed by those present that until the New Zealand auxiliary of the mission have a New Zealand missionary of their own on the spot the needed interest in Jawnpur will not be aroused in New Zealand. Representation to that effect will be made to the Home council, and it was resolved to instruct the secretary of each committee in New Zealand to issue a call for volunteers for missionary service in Jawnpur (the station supported by New Zealand). The balance-sheet was presented by V\ Bradly and adopted. The sum of ffc««o had been remitted to headquarters. In the eourue of a short talk on the "•ions mission stations he had vieited, iiruce Scott said that there was a area with a population as large as ol New Zealand without one hospital in it for women only. Mr. Stewart spoke with regret of the Rev. R. G. Coats' resignation. With his exception all former members of the executive committee were re-elected. ' -
