AUTUMN FLOWERS,
SHOW AT HENDERSON. An autumn flower show, arranged l>7 the ladies guild of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Henderson, was held in the Town Hull yesterday afternoon. There was an excellent collection of cut flower." including a fine stand of dahlias exhibited by Messrs. G. W. Wright and K. Wright also a beautiful display of ferns grown uv Mrs. Palmer, of Glen Eden. The judges were:—Cut flowers, Mr. G. W. Wright, of Epsom ; decorated bowls and vases. Mr* Leighton and Mrs. Sache. Mr. G. \X. Wright gave a shor; address on dahlia culture. The prize follows :— Dahlias.—Best collection of 12; Mrs Barry 1, Mr. Mnlayson 2. Cactus 3 varieties: Mrs. Barry 1, Mr. Finlays-m 2. Decorative, 3 varieties: Mrs. Barry 1, Mr. Finlayson 2. Champion bloom: Mrs' Barry. Chrysanthemums.—Best collection of 12: Mrs. Barry. One white: Mrs. Perkins 1 and 2. One yellow: Mr. K. Xorcross 1 Mrs. Barry 2. One bronst;: Mrs Barry ] Mrs. Spencer 2. One red: Mrs. Barry 1 Mrs. Terkins 2. One pint: Mr. R. >io'--?ross ], Mrs. Barry 2. Champion blonv: Mrs. Barry 1.
