MOTOR ACCIDENTS.
TRUCK KNOCKED OFF ROAD. A truck was knocked over the Westfield railway bridge into the mud flat yesterday about 3 p.m. The owner of the truck, Mr. E. Ellis, of Otahuhu, says ho was crossing the bridge, going towards town, when lie Mas hailed by a motorist, who asked for the use of a petrol filler. He left his truck on the bridge elope and went over to wait for his filler. Hearing a crash, ho turned to see his truck disappear over the embankment. It had been struck by a, heavy van driven by Mr. L. Scott. The body of the truck was smashed. The van suffered no apparent dama'ge.
