'PLANES IN FLIGHT.
FROM HASTINGS TO FOXTON. PAGEANT AT HAWERA. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HASTINGS, this day. At 10 o'clock this morning four 'planes left the Longlands Aerodrome to participate in the Hawera pageant, Miss Clifford, in an Avro-Avian machine, had Mrs. Richmond as a passenger. They took off in formation flight, with Captain Mercer (who had Mr. Taylor as a passenger), Captain Stedmaii (with Mrs. Stedman) in a Gipsy "plane, and Mr. Dix, and Miss Bennett, in a Marlborough 'plane. The 'planes fly first to Foxton. then back to Feilding, where they will stay to-night, proceeding to Hawera to-mor-row morning. After the Hawera pageant they leave for the Auckland pageant. Miss Clifford will have as a passenger from Hawera to Auckland the ground engineer from the Canterbury Club.
