HEAVY LORRY LIMIT.
TRUCK WITH TRAILER.
AN ALLEGED BREACH.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. The question whether a- trailer fixed behind a motor lorry constituted a combined load arose in a case in the Magistrate's Court to-day, in which Colin Tuck, sawmiller, of Frankton, was charged with operating a motor truck and trailer, making a combined load and carrying weight in excess of the classification of the road. The inspector for the Waikato County Council prosecuted. The defence contended that defendant was justified in his action, as separate licenses were obtained for both the truck and the trailer. ~.,.' After lengthy evidence had been heard 'judgment was reserved.
