OTAHUHU BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Borough Council met last evening, the Mayor, Mr. H. T. Clements,, presiding, Noxious weeds.—The reported that special notices had been issued id 46 ratepayers and it was decided to prose* cute all who had failed to comply.
Unemployed.—The council instructed the town clerk to open an unemployed list on April I,'only married ratepayers with children to be accepted.
Air Port.—lt was decided to endeavour to get the proper authorities to purchase the Otahuhu Trotting grounds for an air port. .
Traffic' Inspector.—The inspector re« ported that 27 lorries had been weighed within the borough and in no case waa there sufficient to warrant prosecution. A great improvement was noticeable in this direction. The 74 heavy traffic licenses issued involved the collection of over £2000] The borough received five per cent for.collecting.
