MOUNT EDEN TRAMS.

PLANS OF NEW ROUTE. SECTIONS AND FARES SUGGESTED. Details in connection with the Mount Eden tramway extension to Mount Albert Road were mentioned at to-day's meeting of the Auckland Transpoit Board. It was decided to have the plans of the new rpute signed, while the question of fares was left over to be referred to a committee. The manager, Mr. A. E. Ford, stated that the construction of the lines between Rewa Avenue and the terminus at Mount Albert Road was contingent upon the Mount Roskill Road Board reconstructing and laying down tire carriageways in permanent materials on both sides of the board's tracks. It was proposed that the sections be between Pencarrow Avenue (present terminus) and the intersection of Mount Eden Road with Rewa Avenue, and between the intersection of Monnt Eden Road and Rewa Avenue, and the intersection of Throe Kings Road with Mount Albert Road. . The extension .will be of 120 chains, 117 chains of which will be double track and three chains single track.
